Mount Marcy
Mount Marcy is New York's tallest peak, measuring in at 5,344 feet. It is a 7.5-mile hike from the Adirondak Loj to the summit. In the summer it is one of the busiest summits in the High Peaks, during this time you will often find a Summit Steward on the peak working to protect the fragile alpine vegetation from trampling by hikers. If you visit Marcy, or any High Peak with alpine vegetation, please remember to walk only on solid rock surfaces.
